assessment of fair housing for the city of savannah

Fair Housing Plan

Welcome to the website for the City of Savannah's Assessment of Fair Housing!

The Assessment is a study of housing access in Savannah that will identify any barriers to housing choice due to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, whether a household has children, or whether a household includes anyone with a disability. The study will cover government and private sector policies, practices, and procedures that affect housing choice. It will provide essential information to policymakers, administrative staff, housing providers, lenders, fair housing advocates, and others in the community.

The Assessment of Fair Housing is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order for Savannah to continue to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds.
